A new private care home has opened in Heswall, Merseyside offering residential, nursing and palliative and respite care on an ‘all inclusive’ basis.
The multi-million pound Hazelwell care home in Oldfield Road includes luxury en suite rooms, home cinema, salon and nail bar, gym, library, on-site chef, roof top terrace and a full activities programme.
Unlike in many other homes, The Hazelwell’s residents are able to access all facilities without additional charges, which are covered by weekly fees.
Hazewell home manager Liza Millington, who has more than 20 years of experience in the care home industry, said: “When you’re choosing the right care home for yourself, a family member or loved one, it’s important to know all of the facts.
“At The Hazelwell, we want to make life as simple, straightforward and enjoyable as possible – which is why everything here is included in the weekly fee, there are no extra costs.
“We are proud to offer an all-inclusive service our residents as we’re keen for every resident to experience all of the facilities, activities, and luxuries available at The Hazelwell. It also gives peace of mind to residents and their families that everything is covered.”
The care home has 55 bedroom suites with en-suite facilities and specialist equipment such as nurse call systems.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture, pictures and personal ornaments to personalise their rooms. The home also adopts an ‘open door’ policy which means friends and family can visit residents at any time.
Ms Millington added: “Our entire ethos centres on the word ‘home’. It’s crucial that The Hazelwell feels like home and offers home comforts, whatever each individual perceives those to be.
“Our chefs offer a high standard of cuisine but it’s also about the little things, such as choosing where you would like to eat your meal that day, having your morning coffee on the terrace in the sunshine or having some peace in the library to read your favourite book.
“Our dedicated activities co-ordinator also ensures that there is always something interesting going on for our residents to participate in, which usually involves having lots of fun.”
