Karen took on the Managing Director role when NorseCare was established in April 2011 and has led the company to achieve a national reputation for quality services, facilitating the creation of stunning new care homes, along with developing a business model that delivers substantial rebates to the local authority.
Since qualifying as a social worker in 1985, she has undertaken a range of leadership roles that have focused on improving people’s lives through the provision of care services. As Managing Director of NorseCare, Karen is dedicated to meeting the needs and expectations of Norfolk’s older people and championing innovation in dementia care facilities and services.
NorseCare is an award-winning care home provider, managing residential homes and housing with care schemes across Norfolk. The company has a long-term strategy to invest in and undertake a programme of re-provision of current care accommodation and to build new care homes and housing with care schemes.
Karen is passionate about customer care and says: “I think more businesses should put themselves in the shoes of their customers. Our basic premise in terms of the service we provide is ‘would this be good enough for my mum or dad?’ We want to get it right for people, and the driving force behind the new homes that we have built and the homes that we run is that sentiment.”
