Sameer Rizvi has taken it upon himself to build an elite healthcare company of the future. His vision for RDCP Care is to become the largest, privately-owned provider of state-of-the-art health and social care in the UK.
Sameer has chosen the first service provided by RDCP Care to be care homes. He is on a journey to initially acquire some of the best nursing homes, dementia homes and residential care homes in the UK; and eventually, to begin developing high-end care facilities. A value-investor by nature, he has decided to focus on the Midlands and Wales as this allows RDCP to acquire top quality purpose-built care homes at fair market prices.
In order to fuel his passion for growth, he targets growing at one acquisition per quarter, hiring the right human capital along the way to facilitate this growth. His vision and growth targets are reciprocated throughout the company and all senior employees are aware of this ambitious goal. Transparency and communication are key to Sameer.
His most recent acquisition was Kings Bromley Care Home in Burton-on-Trent, a deal that completed on 28 February 2017. This business serves as RDCP’s flagship care home in the Midlands. Led by Sameer, RDCP is now close to completing two acquisitions in Wales, and another one in the Midlands.
Sameer is rigorous, thorough and focused. He is aware of the risks the sector faces and is extra careful about care quality assurance and even more cautious about how much debt the business takes on. He is building a business that will thrive through the ages, not one that will crumble due to financial distress as other large care providers have done.
