Nicolas Kee Mew is the manager of Arthur House Care home in Wimbledon. He came to the UK as an accounting student and started part time as a housekeeper in 2006 when he was 19 years old before making his way up to becoming a care home manager.
Arthur House is a multi award winning care home in Wimbledon that was recently rated Outstanding by the CQC. Nicolas himself was a finalist last year for the Great British Care Awards in its care home manager category and also nominated his chef who was a finalist in 2015 for Nutrition and Hydration. Arthur House is also a finalist for the Merton Best Business Awards and voted Top 20 most recommended care home in London in 2016 & 2017 on carehome.co.uk
Nicolas has also appeared in Skills for Care’s national campaign to promote young people to join the care sector. He is also an active volunteer for Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia Friends and an active fundraiser. He recently ran two Dementia Friends sessions with a local school and church. Nicolas uses his innovative ideas to promote dignity in his care home and makes activities fun by introducing new technologies.
