Andrew has been leading Care UK’s Residential Care Services for almost four years, bringing a period of stability and focus which is now paying dividends as the company delivers one of its strongest ever years in terms of quality, financial performance and engagement.
Increasingly high occupancy in the company’s new homes and a substantial investment in its core portfolio has contributed to 12% growth and to strong progress in efforts to reposition the portfolio around a stable 50/50 revenue split between publicly funded beds and self-funding customers.
Under Andrew’s leadership, Care UK improved its CQC quality ratings by 24% in 2016. It secured its first Outstanding rating from CQC and received sector recognition from organisations as diverse as the National Association of Care Catering and the National Dementia Care Awards.
On the back of a strong focus on the re-invigoration of the company’s Fulfilling Lives approach to care and quality, customer satisfaction scores are up 3% and Care UK’s Net Promoter Score (the measure of the likelihood of customers recommending our service) is at an all-time high.
Andrew has also backed a major investment in people over the last three years. 2016 saw an unprecedented 10% improvement in employee engagement, and garnered Care UK recognition as one of the UK’s top employers in the inaugural UK Employee Experience Awards.
