As manager of one of the UK’s one in 200 Outstanding care homes, Maria Seitan throws her heart and soul into caring for her residents.
After hearing Meadow House Nursing Home in Swaffham had achieved its top rating this year, Maria Seitan said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have received such a positive report. We have a magnificent team of staff here and I am delighted that their dedication and compassion has been recognised by the Care Quality Commission.
“We will continue to remain 100% focused on delivering the highest standards of care – where dignity is respected, where talents and interest are encouraged and where life is lived to its fullest potential.”
Maria has been working for Healthcare Homes for six years and has been based at the home for 18 months. She manages a team of 72 staff members who pride themselves on their commitment to providing a home-from-home environment for those they care for.
The CQC report highlighted the exceptional quality of care, commenting that “people were supported by very kind, caring and compassionate staff that often went the extra mile to provide them with excellent, high quality care. The report added that “there was a strong culture within the home of treating people with respect. The staff and the registered manager listened to people, offered them choice and made them feel that they mattered”.
