No-one knows better than Terry Tucker the importance of attracting and keeping the right people.
Since her appointment at Hallmark last year, Terry has launched a series of initiatives designed to ensure the best candidates stay with the business.
These have included a new team engagement survey, developing Hallmark Care Homes current recruitment system so that the business can effectively track candidates and analyse their feedback, developing career pathways for carers and nurses and implementing an exciting range of leadership programmes called ‘Being Outstanding’.
Other initiatives introduced or implemented by Terry include: expanding Hallmark Care Homes company benefits by introducing a Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme with BMW and paying team members above the National Living Wage, which came into effect in April.
Terry is also quick to recognise team members who have gone above and beyond in their role. One way she has done this is by introducing Charter Pins for team members who have been nominated by relatives and staff for being outstanding, but also by nominating star team members for both the Hallmark Care Homes company awards ceremony which takes place in September and the National and Dementia Care Awards which take place in November.
